how can i save a totally devitrified quartz banger

Post by chn » Sat Apr 21, 2018 12:43 pm

Hi guys,

I recently bought some quality quartz second hand from a local guy for near nothing. The reason why was because the quartz had been super chazzed and one was totally devitrified, with white to gray opaque coating throughout. I'm guessing this is built up by constantly torching to clean the nail, and not constantly q-tipping.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a super deep clean to remove the opaque coating? I've tried soaking in iso, and vaping iso over low temperatures to make it easier to scrub off, but with no success. Thanks guys!

Find a local glass blower with a sandblasting set up and ask him to blast your nails. Won't be back to 100% but I think it's your best bet if they're really chazzed
